Here’s an insider tip for you: Many window manufacturers offer volume discounts and bonuses, which leads some installers to limit their offerings to just one or two brands. Unfortunately, this practice doesn’t always serve customers well. At Miller Custom Exteriors, we do things differently.
We install several different window lines so you can get exactly what you want. Looking for a basic, value window? We can provide that. Need a custom color to match your exterior? We’ve got you covered. Interested in leaded glass or a wood laminate interior? We can make that happen too.
At Miller Custom Exteriors, window replacement is one of our specialties. A conventional window replacement involves inserting the new window into the existing window frame without removing any interior or exterior trim. This method can work well if the existing trim is in great shape and matches the new window.
However, if your window trim is old, damaged, or simply not your preferred style, a rough opening replacement is a better option. This process involves removing the trim around the window opening and installing new trim. Before the new trim is installed, we insert insulation in the gap between the walls and the frame. This creates a tight seal and prevents air leakage around the new window.
Additionally, we can install or replace window sills, which is something many homes built 15 to 20 years ago might lack.
